Historic Royal Palaces will host the second technical meeting on the topic of preservation of historic royal tapestries with the focus on display and protection, conservation treatment and training of tapestry conservators, and scientific research.  We aim to share and discuss current approaches and practice and seek opportunities for future collaborations. The programme will have a mixture of guided tours, presentations and group discussions.

The topics we wish to cover in this technical meeting include the following:

• Display methodologies and visitor interpretation of tapestries
• Protecting tapestries on open display for long-term preservation
• Conservation treatment practice and training of conservators today and in the future
• Development in scientific research of historic tapestries on open display
