The Reggia di Caserta is known to be the most significant expression of the system of royal delights that the Bourbons created as a productive system for the local development.
Indeed, all Royal residences played a major role in contributing to the social and economic development of its territory by stimulating the productivity.
Today the Royal palace of Caserta is one of the major Italian museums and a UNESCO site, with the mission, among others, of bringing back to life this original function of a Palace at the heart of a very complex manufacturing system. Thus, over the last years, close relationship with the social, cultural and entrepreneurial realities of the surrounding area have been established. These ambitious initiatives are implemented in order to support the valorization of the cultural heritage in collaboration with private operators, public administration and universities fulfilling an essential mission of stimulating the productivity and the social and financial development of the territory and its communities
The subject: this Technical Meeting (TM) will focus on the opportunities generated by the connections between public and private sectors for cultural institutions that can contribute to the safeguard, recovery, maintenance, management, production, opening, use, experimentation and research. exchange the best practices and examples about the
The aim is to share and learn with other Royal residences in Europe the best practices and examples by learning from other experiences. Participants will be invited to present activities focusing on projects that can reflect the specific choices of their institution, discussing examples and new challenges and talk about the potential of those activities. This will enable the group to define and compare the different European approaches on the role of the Royal Residences in public-private partnerships. The program includes visits dedicated to interdisciplinary projects promoted by Reggia di Caserta.
